Life Changer

What was the one experience that completely changed your life? What happened? How did it change your life?

The one experience that changed my life the most would be when I found out I was pregnant. Most moms can testify to the feeling you get when those strips on the tester turn positive. When your head gets all fuzzy and nothing seems real. Yet somehow you manage to act kinda normal, fooling everyone that nothing is different. When I had to tell my D.H. I think he knew before I said a word. Although he and I had known each other for such a short time, there was no doubt about what we had to do. On that day my life changed forever. Most say its the day your child is born. For me it was the day I found out I was pregnant.

Family Factiods #2

We currently live in a town of 500 people.

I used to live in a City of 2 million.

The last city I lived in was Nelson BC, population 10,500 – 15,000.

Because of the smallness of the town we live in, we don’t actually know our home address. Our address is “The big brown house on the left”.

When I went to the hospital to deliver R. we had to drive 1 hour to the nearest city.

I have never gotten my drivers license.

Family Factiods.

when I went into labor with R. I was way calmer then I ever thought I would be. In fact I let C. sleep in two hours. I got up @5am had a cup of tea, watched the news, then woke him up. He also went to work for three hours.

While I was in labor at the hospital my mom, husband and I decided to leave and have a picnic in the park. MacDonalds was our picnic basket.

The same hour I gave birth we got our first snowfall of the year.

I had four nursing students and a paramedic student watching me give birth.

I had to get the epidural needle inserted twice.

R’s birth date was 10,10,12. His birth time was 5:29am
